Tunnels construction and maintenance
The delicate process of applying sprayed structural concrete linings in tunnels, requires preliminary and in-depth study of all the equipment, materials and personnel involved. Ocmer has developed a complete range of equipment for this type of application and will be happy to provide consultancy on the solutions that better meet the different construction site requirements and project constraints.
Hydroelectric projects
The diversion tunnels of hydroelectric power plants, normally of medium/small section, constitute one of the typical fields of application of Ocmer equipment.
Their small size, easy manoeuvrability, together with the with the short time needed for the start up and shut down processes, make our equipment ideal for operating in these contexts.
Mining Industries
For many years, Ocmer has been developing equipment dedicated to this type of application.
The difficult environmental conditions, often characterized by narrow spaces and difficult to reach positions, require products specially designed to guarantee reliability over time and effectiveness in every single working session.
The hard working environment moreover asks for reducing and facilitating as much as possible the cleaning and ordinary maintenance operations.
Structural restoration of buildings and bridges
The application of sprayed concrete linings, particularly with dry mixes, constitutes the most economical and effective system for the structural restoration of deteriorated and/or damaged buildings and bridges (i.e. after an earthquake). The availability of equipment capable to spray dry concrete mixtures with continuous flow and in medium/low volumes responds promptly to these needs.

Slope consolidations and foundations
Since always one of the most important fields of application of Ocmer equipment.
The great flexibility of our machines both in terms of flow rate and spray method, their ease use and maintenance together with a complete range of complementary products, are the answer to these type of projects.
Swimming Pools and Landascaping
The freedom to apply concrete linings without need for formworks allows for unlimited design flexibility in landscaping projects (i.e. creation of areas shaped at will in zoos and entertainment parks) and the construction of free-form swimming pools.
Furthermore, Ocmer equipment, thanks to its production flexibility, constitutes the best solution for these type of projects.
Construction and maintenance of irrigation canals
The dry or semi-wet spray methodology is widely preferred in the construction and maintenance of irrigation and drainage canals.
Our rotor machines, eventually combined with our spray arms, constitute a punctual response to these types of projects.
Backfilling
Ocmer rotor machines are widely used to fill the space between the excavation and the pre-formed segments with pea gravel in the mechanized construction of tunnels.
For the mentioned application, numerous solutions have been developed over the years in order to make the assembly of the machines on TBM back-ups easier, thus allowing our customers to optimize space as well as grant them a greater design freedom.
The same machines were used to transport the most diverse materials: sown earth, expanded clay, sand, humus soil.
Renovation and Maintenance
of Furnaces and Chimneys
Ocmer equipment dedicated to the refractory sector are the result of a long collaborative relationship with some of the main manufacturers and applicators worldwide.
In particular, stations for the spraying of refractory masses for the renewing and maintenance of furnaces, often in combination with specially designed spray arms, have been used successfully for many years in steel mills all over the world.
Tundishes' Maintenance
We design and produce different types of plants for mixing and spraying refractory masses in steel mill baskets.
From basic models to those equipped with double silo, load cells, control of temperature, pressure and quantity of water, automatic start-up, shut down and washing cycles. Systems for the control, recording and transmission of data.
The plants can be coupled with special spray arms specifically designed starting from the tundishes’ layout inside the maintenance department.
