ORP-300 and ORP-302

The Ocmer plants type ORP-300 and ORP-302 are destined to the ordinary maintenance of tundishes in steel factories.

The refractory masses, usually contained in big bags, are loaded into the plant's silo from where an electrically controlled guillotine valve regulates their descent into the mixing unit. Here water is added, dosed by a flow meter or a digital litres counter, then a paddle mixer mixes the mass in order to obtain the desired consistency. The vertical pumping unit pushes the mixture under pressure up to the nozzle, where compressed air is added allowing the refractory mixture to adhere properly to the tundishes’ walls. A minimum/maximum level filling probe placed in the hopper of the pumping unit guarantees its continuous and automatic feeding.

An air pressure switch allows the nozzle operator to stop and restart the system by closing and opening the air valve of the spray nozzle.

The ORP/302 model, equipped with a double silo and double mixing unit, allows the use of two different refractory masses.

The spray mass can be applied manually or with a remotely controlled pistol manipulator.
